Onbuy Complete Guide

Onbuy - Complete Guide

Setup & Introduction OnBuy

The Setup & Introduction section is a one-time onboarding guide to connect your store with the DMS Matrix Integration. This process links your OnBuy Seller Center, validates credentials, and prepares product/order sync. Once complete, the app runs in the background to keep everything in sync—no repeated setup required.

What this app does
High-level overview of the connector and data flow.

Product & Order Sync

Bridges your store and OnBuy Seller Center and keeps products, orders, inventory and tracking aligned. No CSV uploads—data flows automatically in both directions where required.

Tracking Pushback

When you fulfill in your store, the exact carrier name and tracking number are pushed back to OnBuy so customers receive timely updates and the marketplace reflects the correct shipping status.

Inventory Source of Truth

your store is treated as the master inventory. Stock changes in your store are propagated to OnBuy to prevent overselling and mismatches.

Sync Products

We need your permission to fetch your Shopify product catalogue so that our app can perform the following operations:

  • Product Mapping – Link your products with our system.
  • Order Syncing – Automatically pull new orders for processing.
  • Inventory Syncing – Keep stock levels up to date between store and marketplace.
  • Order Fulfillment & Status Updates – Mark orders as fulfilled and update tracking details in Shopify.

Important

Fetching products is required during setup. After this, new and updated products will be received automatically via webhook. The time depends on your product count - e.g., 50,000 products may take up to 20 minutes. You can continue using Shopify while it runs in the background.

By continuing, you agree to allow our app to access and process your product catalogue for the purposes listed above.
